Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has urged all democrats to join hands to make Democracy Day a success.

In a statement, Siddaramaiah said, "Democracy Day is a day to celebrate the values of democracy and freedom that our country stands for. It is a day to remember the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and to renew our commitment to uphold the principles of democracy."

The Chief Minister said that Democracy Day is also an occasion to reflect on the challenges that democracy faces in the world today. "In recent years, we have seen a rise in authoritarianism and populism, and these trends pose a threat to democracy," he said.
