The Phillies made several roster moves in preparation for their upcoming series against the Astros. Kolby Allard (2-0, 3.50 ERA) was optioned back to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

The Phillies also announced that they have claimed right-handed pitcher Connor Brogdon off waivers from the Phillies. Brogdon has a 4.50 ERA in 2021 with 30 strikeouts in 23 innings pitched.
