Luka Doncic Won't Like Latest Injury Update on Key Sharpshooter Ahead of Game 5 Vs. Warriors
Dallas Mavericks Star Set To Miss Crucial Game
Maxi Kleber Sidelined Indefinitely With Calf Strain
The Dallas Mavericks have been dealt a major blow ahead of their crucial Game 5 clash against the Golden State Warriors, as key sharpshooter Maxi Kleber has been ruled out indefinitely with a calf strain.
Kleber, who has been a key contributor for the Mavericks throughout the playoffs, suffered the injury in the third quarter of Game 4. The 30-year-old German forward played just 10 minutes before being forced to leave the game.
The Mavericks, who are down 3-1 in the series, will now be without one of their most consistent shooters. Kleber is averaging 8.8 points per game in the playoffs, shooting 46.7% from three-point range.
The Mavericks will need to find a way to replace Kleber's production if they want to have any chance of coming back in the series. Dorian Finney-Smith is expected to start in Kleber's place, but he is not the same type of shooter.
